Karachi dig: Ancient statues unearthed

Valuable statues were unearthed during excavation work for the renovation of Lea Market, carried out by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Friday.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has stated on his social media handle that the ancient valuable statues have been moved to a secure location and will eventually be preserved in a museum.

The excavation has not only unearthed the statues but has also paved a way to solve further enigmata regarding the history of Karachi, the past of the Indus Valley. Hopefully, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will continue its drive, which might lead to revolutionary developments like deciphering of the Indus Valley scriptures.
